Membership of the Bayside Divas is open to women of all backgrounds (professional and musical) who have an interest in choral music singing and performance.
The Bayside Divas delight in the exploration, and celebration of women's repertoire. The choir enjoys singing a wide variety of musical styles, from traditional folk to jazz, gospel, musical theatre, world music and contemporary. Bayside Divas specialises in singing unaccompanied (a cappella) in three- or four-part and multi-divisi harmony, with the occasional use of instrumental accompaniment.
Bayside Divas rehearse weekly during State school terms on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Sandgate State School Music Centre, Lagoon Street, Sandgate, Brisbane.

The membership fee for Bayside Diva is $90 per term, with a discount of $10 if paid by the first week of term. Fees may be paid by cash, cheque, money order or by direct deposit/EFT.
Membership fees are directed towards partially covering the costs associated with purchase of sheet music, professional fees for the musical director and rehearsal CDs that are designed to assist members with learning new repertoire.
A one-off music folder levy of $40 is payable on joining the choir, prior to the issue of the folder and music. The levy is refundable in full on resignation from the choir (not if only taking leave), provided that all sheet music has been returned in good condition.
All Divas are required to supply their own basic performance uniform that includes:
- Plain black trousers
- Closed-in black shoes
- Plain black round-necked t-shirt (to be purchased directly from Bayside Divas)
- Plain coloured shirt-maker blouse.
Bayside Divas holds a selection of scarves which are used to dress-up the basic black uniforms.
Members of the choir may take leave from time to time on a term by term basis. Divas taking leave are requested to contact the Coordinator at the beginning of each team to advise whether or not the leave is to be extended for an additional term.
Any singer who has been on leave for more than one year will be asked to re-audition prior to rejoining the choir.
