SUMMARY:Sandgate Uniting Church Christmas Lights 2024
DESCRIPTION:The award-winning Christmas Lights display is being staged by the Sandgate Uniting Church\, raising Christmas spirits and bringing family and friends together at this very special time of year. And\, Once again\, the Bayside Divas are very much looking forward to being a part of the entertainment program\, as they have done for at least the last eleven years. The theme of this year’s event is “Peace”. \nThe outside lights will be first switched on at 7:00pm\, Friday 6 December\, and continue each night from 6:00 to 10:00pm through until 25 December. The stalls and entertainment will start at 6pm from Saturday 14th to 21st December\, there will be stalls with home made craft and jams\, plant stalls\, sausage sizzle\, fresh doughnuts\, Lions Christmas cakes and hot and cold drinks. Entertainment will include live music performances by various bands\, choirs and small ensembles. \nThe Bayside Divas will present their Christmas program on Tuesday\, 17th December commencing at 7pm\, when they will perform a mix of Christmas favorites and some other well-known pieces featured in their concert programs from earlier in the year. \n

DESCRIPTION:The annual Carols by the Bay returns this year on Thursday 5pm – 8pm\, December 5\, 2024. \nThe Bayside Divas will perform at 5.30pm\, as part of a festive repertoire of classic Christmas tunes. \nFamilies will be able to join in the fun with song books provided for sing-alongs. \nAttendees can indulge in a sleigh-full of treats\, including a barbecue\, snow cones\, ice cream\, coffee and potato twisters. Lions Christmas Cakes will also be available for purchase. \nKids can look forward to a special visit from Santa Claus at the end of the night\, who will spread cheer and hand out lollies as a sweet treat. \nIn case of wet weather\, the festivities will be relocated from Einbunpin Lagoon Park to The Sands Bowlo. \n

To add to the fun\, kids can collect a free glow stick to wave around under the stars once the sun goes down\, and of course\, there will be the much-anticipated visit from Santa himself! \nSo gather your family and friends and come down to Einbunpin Lagoon for a relaxing evening of carols\, good food\, and festive family fun. DESCRIPTION:Following two years of lockdowns\, travel restrictions and being isolated from friends and family\, the Bayside Divas are definitely dreaming of traveling once again and also of returning to the stage to resume our usual round of concert performances. The theme of our first concert for 2022 is\, quite fittingly\,  ‘Dreams of Travel’. which will be presented on Saturday\, 28 May 2022 at Sandgate Town Hall. \nAfter boarding our flight we’ll be “Up Up and Away” on a musical trip to destinations around the globe; first stop\, the west coast of the USA where the “Surf’s Up!” and we can join our friends the Beach Boys. Then it’s on to the east coast to join up with the “Boy from New York City” and across the Atlantic to London where we’ll find the Beatles in “Penny Lane”. \nEurope is next\, dropping in on France for a ‘Chanson D’Amour’ and a bit of fun in Italy riding up to hill-top villages on the ‘Funiculi Funicula’. On the return home there are stop-offs to visit the set of the film Slumdog Millionaire and to see the cherry blossoms (“Sakura”) in Japan. \nThese are just a few of the highlights of our travels\, so to experience the full itinerary you’ll need to ensure you book your seats for May 28. DESCRIPTION:Come and join the Bayside Divas as we spread Christmas joy through song at the beautifully lit Sandgate Uniting Church. \nAfter an absence in December 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions\, the Divas are delighted to be once again presenting an hour of Christmas entertainment at the Sandgate Uniting Church’s Christmas Lights 2021. We will be performing on Sunday\, 19 December commencing at 7:30pm. \nThe famous lights display (albeit in a slightly scaled-down version this year) will commence at 6:00pm\, along with the usual stalls\, food and drinks.
